When you're building a high-performance big block Chevrolet engine, the pistons are a critical component. This set from JE Pistons includes eight APBA dome pistons, specifically forged for demanding applications. They are made in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for handling the pressures of performance engines.

JE Pistons has over 75 years of experience in forged racing pistons, and this set reflects that expertise. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, leading to quieter operation.

This set is designed specifically for each engine and use application, aiming for an optimized balance of performance and durability. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. They are designed for a 4.250 inch bore with a 1.765 inch compression distance and a 0.990 inch pin.
