JE Pistons BBC BIG CHIEF W/NOS Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BIG CHIEF W/NOS pistons, designed for Big Block Chevrolet engines. You get the pistons themselves, ready to be installed in your build. These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines pushed to their limits, especially those running nitrous oxide (NOS). JE Pistons has been making performance pistons for over 75 years, and this set is built on that experience.

What sets these pistons apart is their specific design for the application, aiming for a balance of durability and performance. They feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove, which helps manage combustion gas pressure to reduce ring flutter and improve ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also include a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also lead to quieter operation.

These pistons are designed for high-demand performance applications and are made 100% in the USA. They are a dome piston with a 4.600-inch bore, a 1.120-inch compression distance, and a 0.990-inch pin diameter. Please note that these are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
