Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons BBC BIG CHIEF W/NOS pistons are built for serious performance applications. This set of eight is designed for a 4.600-inch bore and features a dome top, a 1.120-inch compression distance, and a 0.990-inch wrist pin. JE Pistons has over 75 years of experience crafting high-performance forged pistons, and this set reflects that expertise, engineered and manufactured entirely in the USA.

The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design is a key feature, minimizing friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help control combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life.
