JE Pistons BBC BIG CHIEF W/NOS Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BIG CHIEF W/NOS pistons designed for Big Block Chevrolet engines. You get the pistons themselves, ready for installation. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines that see a lot of demand and high performance applications.

JE Pistons has been making performance pistons for a long time, and they've put that experience into this set. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This means they've worked to minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also helps save weight. Depending on your specific engine application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove. This groove helps manage combustion gas pressure, which can reduce ring flutter and improve the ring seal, leading to more consistent power output. Some applications also get a skirt coating, which further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise.
