JE Pistons BBC BIG CHIEF W/NOS Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BIG CHIEF W/NOS pistons, designed for Big Block Chevrolet engines. You get pistons with a dome top, a 4.610-inch bore, a 1.270-inch compression distance, and a 0.990-inch wrist pin. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines built for high-demand performance and racing applications, including those using nitrous oxide (NOS).

JE Pistons has been making performance pistons for over 75 years, and these BIG CHIEF pistons incorporate their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This design helps reduce friction and power loss by using a shorter wrist pin and a narrower skirt, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reduce ring flutter, and improve ring seal for more consistent power.
