When you're building a high-performance big block Chevrolet engine for serious racing, the pistons are a critical component. This set of eight JE Pistons is specifically made for alcohol (alky) applications, featuring a dome design and a 4.530-inch bore. JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to the table, ensuring these pistons are built to handle the intense demands of racing, whether on the dirt track or the drag strip.

These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for engines pushed to their limits. They incorporate JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design, along with a shorter wrist pin, also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. Some applications also include a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear on the cylinder walls, leading to quieter operation and longer life.

This kit includes everything needed for an 8-cylinder engine, with a 4.530-inch bore, a 1.395-inch compression distance, and a 0.990-inch wrist pin.
