JE Pistons BBC CLOSED CHBR Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BBC Closed Chamber pistons, designed for Big Block Chevrolet engines. You get the pistons themselves, ready to be installed in your build. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines that demand serious performance and durability.

JE Pistons has applied over 75 years of experience to create these pistons, specifically for racing applications. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also cutting down on operating noise.
