JE Pistons BBC FT HD/BLOWN Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons is known for making well-built forged racing pistons, with over 75 years of experience in the field. They've applied that knowledge to this set of BBC FT HD/BLOWN pistons, designed for high-demand performance applications. These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for serious engine builds. They are specifically designed for each engine and use application to offer a solid combination of durability and performance.

This set features JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and lead to more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down operating noise.

This kit is for an 8-cylinder engine with a 4.600-inch bore, a 1.245-inch compression distance, and uses a 0.990-inch wrist pin. The pistons are flat-top with a -3.0 cc volume. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. They are also subject to California's Prop 65 warning.
