These JE Pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, making it well-suited for the extreme pressures and temperatures found in these demanding applications. You'll find features like their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin for weight savings. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving the seal for consistent power. Some applications also get a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down engine noise.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.280-inch bore and a flat-top design with a -3.0cc dish. The compression distance is 1.395 inches, and they use a 0.990-inch wrist pin.
