JE Pistons BBC FT HD/BLOWN Set of 8 Pistons

Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for serious performance applications. This set is designed for BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engines and features a flat top design with a 4.500-inch bore. The material choice, 2618 aluminum, offers the high tensile strength necessary to withstand the pressures and heat found in high-demand racing and blown engine builds.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to the table, with these pistons being engineered, forged, and machined entirely in the USA. They incorporate a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design also contributes to weight savings by utilizing a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a -3.0cc dish volume, a 1.395-inch compression distance, and a 0.990-inch wrist pin diameter. They are specifically designed for each engine and use application, aiming for optimized performance and durability.
