These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines producing significant power and experiencing high cylinder pressures. They feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power output. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to a quieter engine operation and longer component life.

This set is designed for a 4.500-inch bore with a 1.520-inch compression distance and a 0.990-inch wrist pin.
