JE Pistons BBC FT HD/BLOWN Set of 8 Pistons

This kit includes a set of 8 forged pistons designed for BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engines, specifically for heavy-duty or blown applications. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines under extreme stress. Each piston features a flat-top design with a 4.310-inch bore and a -3.0cc dish, and they utilize a 0.990-inch wrist pin. The set is engineered for specific engine and racing applications to offer a balance of durability and performance.

JE Pistons incorporates several design elements to enhance performance and longevity. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life.
