JE Pistons BBC FT HD/BLOWN Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons is known for making well-built forged racing pistons, bringing over 75 years of experience to domestic engine builds. This set of eight pistons is engineered specifically for BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engines designed for heavy-duty or blown applications. They are forged and machined 100% in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which offers the high tensile strength needed for these demanding performance uses.

These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This minimizes friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width, and further saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, an accumulator groove is included to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also include a skirt coating to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to lower operating noise.

This set is designed for a 4.530 inch bore with a 1.645 inch compression distance and a -3.0cc dish. The included wrist pin is 0.990 inches. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
