JE Pistons BBC INV DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of 8 JE Pistons BBC Inv Dome pistons, designed for a 4.500 inch bore. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications. They feature an inverted dome design and have a volume of -11.5 cc. The set includes pistons with a 1.645 inch compression distance and a 0.990 inch wrist pin diameter.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their forged racing pistons. These are engineered specifically for each engine and racing application to offer a balance of durability and performance. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, can further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also contributing to quieter operation.
