JE Pistons BBC NITROUS DOME GP Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BBC NITROUS DOME GP pistons, designed for a 4.600 inch bore. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for high-demand performance applications like those found in racing. Each piston features a dome design and is built with JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and further saves weight with a shorter wrist pin.

Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove. This groove is designed to reduce pressure from combustion gases, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for more consistent power output. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also contributing to quieter operation.
