These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for serious engine builds. They're designed specifically for the BBC engine and this particular use, aiming for the best balance of durability and performance.

This set features JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also get a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise. The bore size is 4.610 inches, with a 1.290 inch compression distance and a 0.990 inch wrist pin diameter. This kit includes all 8 pistons.
