This set from JE Pistons includes eight forged pistons, specifically designed for nitrous applications. They're forged and machined entirely in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the intense pressures of performance engines.

JE Pistons has applied over 75 years of experience to these components. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and ensuring a consistent seal for reliable power. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life.

This kit is designed for a 4.610-inch bore with a 1.270-inch compression distance and a 0.990-inch wrist pin.
