JE Pistons COSWORTH N5B 91mm Bore 8:1 KIT Set of 4 Pistons

This JE Pistons kit includes four forged pistons, high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings, all made in the USA. These pistons are specifically designed for the Cosworth N5B engine, featuring a 91mm bore and an 8:1 compression ratio with an inverted dome/dish design. They are constructed from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for engines operating under demanding performance conditions.

JE Pistons has applied over 75 years of experience to create these pistons, incorporating features like their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for this application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
