This kit includes four pistons, each with a 92.5mm bore and an 8:1 compression ratio, featuring an inverted dome/dish design. JE Pistons uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and reduce weight by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also come with an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing flutter. Some applications also feature a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down engine noise.
