This is a set of 8 forged pistons from JE Pistons, designed specifically for the 5.0 Modular engine with a 12.5:1 compression ratio. JE Pistons has been making performance engine components for over 75 years, and these pistons are built to handle demanding applications.

These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for serious performance. They feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and reduce weight by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and keeping power consistent. Some applications also get a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear, which can also help quiet down engine noise.
