JE Pistons has over 75 years of experience, and they've applied that knowledge to features like their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and it also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery.
