This set features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which minimizes friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin for weight savings. Depending on the specific application, an accumulator groove can help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also quieting operation.
