This specific piston kit is designed for the FA20 engine, featuring a 13.5:1 compression ratio with a dome piston design. These pistons are engineered and forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines operating under high-demand performance conditions.

This set includes four pistons, each utilizing JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
