This set of five pistons is built for the Focus ST 2.5L engine, featuring an 8.5:1 compression ratio. They are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for engines pushed to their limits.

This kit includes JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation. This set comes complete with high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings, ensuring you have everything needed for a solid rebuild.
