This JE Pistons kit gives you a complete set of four forged pistons, ready to go into your Ford 2.3L EcoBoost engine. You get the pistons themselves, which are a +1.00 oversize at 88.5mm bore with a -8.2cc dish volume. Also included are high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings, so you have all the essential components for a piston replacement.

These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its strong tensile strength, which is crucial for engines pushed hard in performance applications. JE Pistons uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving the seal for consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise.
