What sets these pistons apart is their construction using 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the stresses of high-performance engines. JE Pistons also incorporates their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This feature helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and the shorter wrist pin further saves weight. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove, which helps control combustion gas pressure for better ring seal and consistent power.
