These JE Pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the demands of high-performance LS3 engines. The asymmetrical Forged Side Relief (FSR) design is a key feature, reducing skirt width to minimize friction and power loss, while also saving weight by using a shorter wrist pin. This thoughtful design contributes to both durability and optimized performance for your engine build.

JE Pistons has over 75 years of experience, and these pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA, ensuring a high level of manufacturing control. They are specifically designed for the GM LS engine and its particular use application, aiming for the best combination of durability and performance. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and maintain consistent power. A skirt coating, if included for your application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.080-inch bore and a 9.7cc asymmetrical dome. They are 0.015 inches oversize for an LS3 application, with a 1.304-inch compression distance and a 0.927-inch pin diameter.
