JE Pistons GM LS1 FT 6.098 Rod 3.898in Bore -2cc Dish - Set of 8

This set of eight pistons is specifically made for GM LS1 FT 6.098 Rod engines with a 3.898-inch bore. They are forged and machined entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for high-demand performance applications.

These pistons feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and it also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise. The flat top design has a -2cc dish.
