JE Pistons GM LT1 Asymmerical KIT Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons is known for making well-built forged racing pistons, with over 75 years of experience. They've taken that knowledge and applied it to their pistons for domestic engines, including this Asymmetrical KIT set for GM LT1 Gen V engines. These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications. They are designed specifically for each engine and use case to offer the best combination of durability and performance.

This set features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove. This groove helps reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also include a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to lower operating noise.

This kit includes 8 pistons, each with a 4.070 inch bore, a 1.304 inch compression distance, and a 0.927 inch pin. They feature an inverted dome/dish design. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. They are also subject to Prop 65 warnings.
