JE Pistons is known for its deep experience in forged racing pistons, with over 75 years in the game. They've applied that knowledge to this Asymmetrical Kit for GM LT1 Gen V engines. If you're rebuilding a high-performance LT1, these pistons are built to handle the demands of racing and serious street use.

These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for demanding applications. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and consistent power. Some applications also include a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which also helps quiet down engine noise.

This kit includes a set of 8 pistons, each designed specifically for the LT1 engine and its intended use, aiming for an optimized balance of performance and durability. The bore size is 4.075 inches, with a compression distance (CD) of 1.304 inches and a wrist pin diameter of 0.927 inches.
