This specific piston kit is designed for Honda B Series VTEC engines, offering an 11.5:1 compression ratio with a dome piston design. These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which provides the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications.

This kit includes a set of four pistons, each featuring JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can reduce ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to lower operating noise.
