This set includes four pistons, each measuring 3.346 inches in bore diameter, and is designed to achieve a 12.50:1 compression ratio with a dome top. JE Pistons incorporates several design features to maximize efficiency and longevity. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design uses reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin to minimize friction and power loss, while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, an accumulator groove may be included to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and extended engine life.
