The 2618 aluminum alloy used in these JE Pistons is chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the demands of performance engines. These pistons are specifically designed for the Honda K20A2 and K20A3 engines, featuring an 86.0mm bore and a 11.6:1 compression ratio with a -9.0cc dome. This combination is engineered to optimize power and durability for high-demand applications.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their manufacturing process, with these pistons being forged and machined entirely in the USA. They incorporate a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which reduces skirt width to minimize friction and power loss, while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing flutter. A skirt coating, if included for this application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
