Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these pistons possess the high tensile strength necessary for demanding engine builds. They incorporate JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and reduce weight by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
