This set features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation. The asymmetrical dish design is tailored for specific LS engine configurations, aiming for optimal combustion chamber volume and compression ratio.

This kit includes eight pistons, each with a 4.005-inch bore, a 1.340-inch compression distance, and a 0.945-inch wrist pin.
