JE Pistons is a well-known name in forged racing pistons, with over 75 years of experience. They've applied that knowledge to their range of forged pistons for domestic engines. This set of eight LS Asym Dish pistons is engineered, forged, and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum. This material is chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines that demand serious performance and durability.

These pistons feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This means they have a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which helps minimize friction and power loss while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life. Each piston is designed specifically for the LS engine and its intended use, aiming for an optimal balance of performance and durability.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.010-inch bore and a -16.80 cc dish volume. They are designed for a 1.340-inch compression distance and use a 0.945-inch wrist pin.
