JE Pistons LS ASYM DISH/INV DM Set of 8 Pistons

When you're building a high-performance LS engine, the pistons are a critical component that needs to handle serious stress. This set of eight asymmetrical dish/inverted dome pistons from JE Pistons is forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making it well-suited for demanding performance applications.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to these forged pistons, specifically designing them for the LS engine. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design that helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

This set is designed for a 4.010 inch bore and includes pistons with an inverted dome that has a volume of -16.80 cc, suitable for many LS engine builds. It's important to note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
