These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand applications. JE Pistons has incorporated their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design, along with a shorter wrist pin, also contributes to saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power.
