The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design is a key feature, reducing skirt width to minimize friction and power loss while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, which can reduce ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.005-inch bore and a dome volume of -11.80 cc. The wrist pin diameter is 0.945 inches, and the compression distance is 1.340 inches.
