This set features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This means the pistons have reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which helps minimize friction and power loss while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove. This groove helps reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also get a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise.

This specific kit is for an 8-cylinder engine with a 4.135-inch bore, a 1.304-inch compression distance, and a 0.927-inch pin.
