If you're rebuilding the engine in your 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette for serious performance, a strong set of pistons is crucial. These JE Pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand applications where durability and consistent power are key. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps minimize friction and reduce weight by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and maintain consistent power delivery.
