JE Pistons LS7 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for LS7 engines with a 4.128-inch bore. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines pushed to their limits. They feature a dome design with a 3.10 cc volume, intended to work with specific cylinder head combinations for optimized performance.

JE Pistons has incorporated their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This means the pistons have reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which helps minimize friction and power loss while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove. This groove is designed to manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving the seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating, which further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
