This piston kit is specifically made for the Mitsubishi 4G63 engine, increasing displacement to 2.3L. They are forged and machined 100% in the USA using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications.

This kit features JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing ring flutter. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise. These pistons are designed specifically for the 4G63 engine to provide optimized performance and durability.

This kit includes everything you need to get these pistons installed: high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings. The bore size is 3.346 inches, with an inverted dome/dish design and a compression ratio of 8.50:1. Please note that this kit is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
