Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these pistons have the high tensile strength needed for high-performance engines. They feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight too. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove to help control combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and consistent power, and a skirt coating to cut down on friction and wear while also quieting things down. This kit is designed for a 3.386-inch bore and a compression ratio of 8.5:1, featuring an inverted dome/dish design.
