Starting with a 2618 aluminum alloy, these JE Pistons are forged in the USA for the Mitsubishi Evolution VII through IX models. This material choice is key because it offers the high tensile strength needed for engines pushed to their limits, whether on the track or the street. The kit includes a full set of four pistons, designed specifically for the 4G63 engine to give you optimized performance and durability.

JE Pistons incorporates several design features to help your engine run its best. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design uses a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin to cut down on friction and weight, which can lead to a small but notable power gain. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove, which helps manage combustion pressure to keep the rings seated properly for a consistent seal.
