This set of six pistons is specifically made for the Nissan VQ37VHR engine, with a 96mm bore size that's 0.050 inches over the stock size, and a 10:1 compression ratio. They are engineered, forged, and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications.

These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, they may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also get a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also cutting down on operating noise.
