These pistons are made from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines pushed beyond stock limits. This specific set features an 86.25mm bore and an 8.5:1 compression ratio, making them suitable for many performance applications where a balance of power and reliability is key.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their manufacturing, with these pistons forged and machined entirely in the USA. They incorporate a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and skirt wear by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing flutter. Some applications also include a skirt coating to further reduce friction and noise while minimizing wear on the cylinder walls.
