This makes them exceptionally well-suited to handle the extreme cylinder pressures found in high-boost, power-adder engine builds. These aren't just basic pistons; they come equipped with features you'd typically only find on custom-ordered sets, like thermal barrier crown coatings, skirt coatings, and lateral gas ports.

The thermal barrier crown coating on these pistons reflects heat back into the combustion chamber, helping to lower piston crown temperatures and improve the scavenging of exhaust gases. For reduced friction and wear on both the piston skirts and cylinder walls, a special skirt coating is applied, which also helps quiet down operating noise, especially when the engine is cold. To ensure consistent lubrication and reduce heat and wear in the pin bores and small-end, these pistons feature enhanced pin oiling. The included high-strength wrist pins are made by Trend Performance in the USA and are built to withstand the rigors of performance engines. Lateral gas ports are incorporated to help maintain a strong ring seal, even at high RPMs and under significant boost pressure, which is crucial for keeping power production consistent.
