You'll find JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design incorporated here. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing flutter.
