If you're rebuilding the top end of your OPEL 1.6 16V engine for serious performance, a set of forged pistons is a critical component. These pistons from JE Pistons are built to handle the increased stress and heat that comes with higher compression and more aggressive tuning, helping you get the most out of your engine build.

JE Pistons uses a proprietary forged side relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design, combined with the use of 2618 aluminum, yields high tensile strength necessary for high-demand performance applications. The pistons are forged, engineered, and machined 100% in the USA, ensuring a well-built product. Depending on the specific application, these kits may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure and improve ring seal, as well as a skirt coating to reduce friction and wear on the cylinder walls, all while helping to quiet down engine noise.

This kit includes everything you need to get your engine rebuilt: four pistons, high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings. It's important to note that these pistons are designed for a 3.150 inch bore and will achieve an 11.5:1 compression ratio.
